Privacy policy

The Travel Frenzy is run by Abhishek Yadav, a personal travel advisor for Leh-Ladakh and Himachal. This page explains what personal data this website collects, why, where it is kept and the choices you have. I am the “data fiduciary” for this data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
The short version: I only collect what you choose to send me, I use it only to reply to you and plan your trip, I never sell it, and you can ask me to see, correct or delete it at any time.
What I collect
- When you send the trip questionnaire: your name, email address, phone number (optional), how you would like to be contacted, your travel plans (regions, months, group size, budget, interests) and anything you write in your message.
- When you enquire about a print, licence or service: your name, email address, phone number (optional), your message and which product you asked about.
- Technical data: like every website, the servers that deliver these pages briefly see your IP address and browser details. To stop spam, the enquiry form and admin login count requests per IP address; these counters are deleted automatically within a day.
I do not ask for payment details, identity documents or sensitive information on this website. Please do not include them in your message.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, plan and arrange your trip or send you the product you asked about.
- To keep a record of our conversation so I don’t ask you the same questions twice.
I use your data only on the basis of the consent you give by ticking the box on the form. I do not use it for marketing newsletters, and I do not sell, rent or share it with advertisers.
Where it is kept
Your enquiry is stored securely in a database used only for this website. The services that store or deliver data for this site are:
- Neon (database): enquiries and site content, stored in Singapore.
- Cloudflare (photographs, videos and content delivery).
- The company that hosts this website.
These providers process data on my behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments, and only to run this site. Some of them store data outside India; the DPDP Act allows this except to countries the Government of India restricts.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact so I can help with follow-up questions or a return trip, then delete them. If we work together on a trip, I may need to keep booking records for longer where Indian tax or accounting law requires it. You can ask me to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.
Cookies and tracking
- This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie is a sign-in cookie for my own admin area, which visitors never receive.
- If visitor statistics are switched on, they come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
- Videos from YouTube are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), so YouTube sets no cookies until you press play.
- The route map is drawn by Mapbox, which receives your IP address when it loads map tiles.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data I hold about you and how it is used;
- ask me to correct, complete or update it;
- ask me to delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it);
- nominate someone to use these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to;
- raise a grievance with me, and if you are not satisfied with my response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, write to . I will reply as soon as I can, and within 30 days.
Children
This website is meant for adults planning travel. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact me on your behalf.
Security
Data travels to and from this site over encrypted connections (HTTPS), the database is encrypted in transit and protected by access controls, and only I can open the enquiry inbox. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data ever happens, I will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If I change how your data is handled, I will update this page and the date at the top.
